Happy New Year

Judy and I were hosts for the annual Cotter-Walton New Year's event and we had a great time. It's strange that we realized we had not had an overnight since New Year's 2005 when Lorne and Joan were the hosts. We won't let as much time go by this time as the four of us (with another couple) are heading to Mexico in two weeks.

The two night dinner main courses were seafood Agnolotti (the 30th) and Mediterranean Pork Roulade (on the big night). As always, the highlight of the visit is the company and the wines we drink. You may note that two of the wines were not quite finished by the time we retired for the evening. We must be getting old!

Cheers... Bob and Judy Cotter

Thanks for that timely posting, Bob.
This year the wines were imbibed in lesser quantity than in the past (only seven and two half bottles for 4 of us over 2 nights!) but the quality seems to get better every year.
Bob and Judy surprised us by finding a 1999 Black Hills Nota Bene which was probably starting to turn ever-so-slightly brownish but still maintained its body and flavour.
Reminds me that I must check on our 2000 Nota Benes very soon.
Happy New Year, Canwiners!
